The Very Hungry Caterpillar

Based on the story of The Very Hungry Caterpillar, the children were asked to do a book review, retell the story in which ever way they would like, some acted the story out, some made a small world version of the story to retell.  They were also asked to think about the days of the week and what happened on each day, to then write their own caterpillar story.  Diaries were written and the life cycle of a butterfly was looked at too.

Mrs Smith had some caterpillars to look after too, and sent in pictures of the caterpillars as they changed.  She also has some videos of them changing from a caterpillar to make their chrysalis to then emerging as a butterfly.  The videos will be added soon...
